Moosman Bridge
Niobrara Bridges
The Niobrara Bridge was conceived with architectural simplicity and engineering practicability. Moosman Bridge starts exclusively with premium 40’ Douglas Fir Timber, we use milled, rough sawn and full cut. The result is fewer connection plates in structural components and unparalleled quality in our finished deck surface. Our innovative design isolates the timbers from contacting any concrete or earthen substrate insuring many extra years of flawless performance. Our design allows water to drain away efficiently for maximum wood life span.

Moosman Bridge’s Niobrara model is offered in lengths of 30’ to 75’, this length difference changes the geometry and the overall look as shown. The Niobrara is flexible to your needs for deck width. Using your specific dimensions we will design and engineer our product to fit your requirements; most common conditions call for 8’ to 10’ wide (clear inside dimension).

The Niobrara simple span truss bridge is designed with top chord, bottom chord, and compression members are composed of Douglas Fir Select Structural. Tension components and plate connections fabricated from steel. The bridge floor is built utilizing 3” x 12” Douglas Fir #1 or better, laid longitudinally with steel I-beam cross members. Moosman Bridge fastens all decking from the bottom with 4 fasteners per connection thus insuring long life and secure connection of decking to steel I-beams. Our bridge surface denotes the awesome strength and durability of Douglas Fir without showing a single bolt or screw from the wear surface. Moosman Bridge’s design standards are 10,000 lb single load limit or 85 psf live load.
